| FIFA’s so-called Early Ticket Draw opens on Monday, October 27. |
| The global soccer organization calls it “the next opportunity” to enter a draw to win a chance to purchase their overpriced tickets. During the first presale, exclusive to Visa cardholders, 4.5 million fans signed up and FIFA made 1 million tickets available. The second draw will be open from 11am ET on Monday 27 October to 11am ET on Friday 31 October. Fans can sign up at any moment during those dates. “This will be followed by a randomised selection, with successful entrants then allocated a dedicated time slot to purchase tickets. During this phase, single-match tickets to all 104 games, along with venue- and team-specific tickets, will be available,” said FIFA. For the presale, the time slots to purchase where for 24 hours, so we expect several windows for the second sale phase. FIFA ticket sale system has been a big disappointment to many. Not only have the slots been extremely difficult to come by, but the organization has used a dynamic price system that saw some of the most popular matches already go up in cost compared to what they cost to the first people with access to buy them, up to several thousands for both the inaugural game in Mexico City and the final in the New York/New Jersey area. The Guardian called the system “late-capitalist hellscape.” Still, fans should sign up to this second draw. You could be one of the few to get access to those precious 2026 World Cup tickets. Good luck! |
