At the end of May, FIFA sent a marketing email about its First-timers collectibles collection, a collection of digital “moments” fans can buy and collect.

Buried in the copy, there’s this conspicuous paragraph:

“As you add more moments, you will be able to complete different levels of our challenge, which will unlock credit rewards on the platform, and if you get to level 5, will enable you to purchase 2 tickets for the 3 group stages matches for the FIFA World Cup™ 2026 in Mexico, USA and Canada.”

What exactly does “enable you to purchase 2 tickets for the 3 group stages matches” mean? And, how much money do people have to spend to get to Level 5?

I don’t know the answers to these questions, so I emailed FIFA’s media office to find out. Stay tuned.
